Our Municipal Enforcement serves the community to enhance quality of life by engaging with residents and visitors to contribute to a safe and livable community by taking an educational based approach through enforcement of Bylaws and Provincial Statutes.

**Position Overview**: This is the perfect job for someone who strives to make meaningful and direct impacts in the community through the use of their strong leadership, organization, administrative and relationship building skills. In this role, you will have the opportunity to blend a wide array of responsibilities including answering calls for service, initializing investigations, dispatching calls to Peace Officers, administering file systems, creating reports, management of tickets and warnings, preparing court documents, attending court to support the municipal crown prosecutor and overall administrative support to the team.

**Core Accountabilities**:

- Knowledgeable with Town Bylaws, Provincial Statutes, and the provincial court system
- Efficient and accurate with the preparation and maintenance of records, tickets, and court documents
- Respond to public inquiries, gather pertinent information when receiving public complaints, and create investigation files
- Proficient at accessing databases and entering detailed information in to reporting software
- Enforce the administrative components of the Town’s Taxi Bylaw
- Administer Town’s lost and found program
- Proficient in the use of ME and Town business software as MS Office, Arc GIS, Dayforce, Great Plains, JOIN, Omnigo, ROADS
- Skilled at recording and distributing accurate meeting minutes

**Education & Qualifications**:

- High school Diploma or equivalent

- Post-secondary education or training in office administration or legal studies - **asset**

**Experience**:

- Able to anticipate customer needs and be flexible in a diverse team environment while maintaining a positive attitude - **required**:

- Proven organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and changing priorities - **required**:

- Customer service experience - **required**:

- Strong computer skills, specifically in the use of Office 365 (particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook) - **required**:

- Demonstrated ability to speak and write clearly - **required**:

- Experience recognizing and managing stress in self and others - **required**:

- Comfortable working in a law enforcement environment where you will be occasionally handling dogs and cats - **required**:

- Experience working with confidential information - **required**:

- Experience working in law enforcement or emergency services -** asset**

**Work Schedule**:

- This is a full-time 35-hour a week position
