Job Description A unique opportunity to live and work in the Canadian Rocky Mountains, WSP is currently seeking a motivated Senior Project Manager/Project Engineer to join our Canmore Land Development and Municipal Engineering team. Reporting to the Area Manager in Canmore, the position involves working on a wide variety of projects, including municipal water, wastewater, drainage, roadway infrastructure, and site servicing projects for public and private clients. The role includes planning, design, and construction administration services and direct interaction with clients and regulatory agencies. Why Choose WSP? What You Can Expect to Do Here Work with the Manager to build the Land Development and Municipal Engineering practice regionally. Provide mentorship to junior staff. Complete, oversee, and manage design and project execution for land development and municipal infrastructure projects. Actively participate in design and provide guidance to the design team throughout the process. Lead a multidisciplinary project team on major infrastructure projects. Liaise with municipal, utility, and approval agencies. Perform site inspections as required. Manage project budgets, schedules, and client communications. Apply proven design experience at conceptual, preliminary, and detailed levels. Contribute to RFP, bid, and proposal documents. Perform other duties as assigned. What You’ll Bring to WSP Minimum of 10+ years in municipal infrastructure for public and private sector projects. An undergraduate degree in civil engineering from an accredited university. Professional Engineer designation in Alberta. Technologist qualification considered if accompanied by professional certification and ability to stamp documents. Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is an asset. Knowledge and application of municipal standards and guidelines. Project management experience on municipal and/or private sector projects. Experience with storm, sewer, watermain, and road design. Familiarity with local planning and approval processes. Valid driver’s license. Experience with southern Alberta municipalities or mountain settings is an asset. About Us WSP is one of the world's leading professional services firms.
