**Location**: Mississauga
The primary location for this role is at our main office located at 6600 Goreway Drive, Mississauga, however requires travel to other terminals within the region.
**Salary**: Based on experience
**Note**: Due to the nature of our business, the schedule for this position is afternoon shift (Monday to Friday, 1pm - 9pm).

**Job Summary**:
We are searching for an experienced **Regional Manager, Ontario** **Operations **to join the Cardinal team.
Reporting to the Vice President, Operation, Ontario, The Regional Manager is responsible for day-to-day operations management within the Ontario region, and for providing leadership and coaching to the terminal leaders to meet department performance objectives. Success in this role requires someone who is results-driven, thrives under pressure, a great communicator, and who has exceptional leadership skills.
This challenging position will require you to be both strategic and hands on, while building critical relationships with supervisors, employees, and customers, providing solutions that have a direct impact to our business.
**Some of the key responsibilities include**:
- Provide Operational supervision and leadership to the Ontario operations team to ensure safe and high-quality logistics services
- Pro-actively identify and communicate issues, propose, and implement solutions for continuous improvement regarding processes, cost, service, and profitability
- Develop and manage a comprehensive strategy for assessing deliverables and utilizing resources to ensure freight delivery timelines are met
- Monitor and report non-conformances and establish corrective action plans
- Chairs various team meetings including daily call with terminal leaders
- Provide the team with guidance in handling difficult or complex issues or problems in a way consistent with the company culture and values
- Conduct investigations in partnership with Human Resources to address employee issues
- Partner with our Director, Safety, Compliance and Fleet to ensure compliance with safety programs and training
- Complete all general administration required for people management on time and in accordance with corporate policy
- Demonstrate Cardinal’s core values and ensure that all decisions and processes are aligned with the organization’s goals
- Create an engaging work environment built on strong teamwork and collaboration across the operations team
**Requirements**:
- College diploma in related field or equivalent work experience
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in within the transportation, warehouse, or logistics industry
- Superior problem-solving skills, ability to demonstrate agility in creating valuable solutions to complex issues quickly
- Tactful and effective written and verbal communication skills, ability to interact with all levels within the organization and influence as required
- Strong leadership, management, supervisory skills
- Exceptional judgement and decision making with high degree of values and ethics
- Client-focused mindset
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment, reliable and has a keen sense of urgency
- Works well under pressure to meet or exceed delivery standards
- Self-motivated, excellent problem-solving skills and the ability of work with a minimum of supervision to manage, organize and prioritize work to adhere to critical deadlines
- Team player, strong listening skills and ability to adapt to change
- Cardinal Operations include day, evening, and night shifts. This role may be required to shift their work schedule to accommodate and support business needs. Shift flexibility is needed for this role
