Hoyes Michalos is seeking a Content and Social Media Manager to join our small but collaborative digital marketing team. We are looking for someone who wants to be responsible for a wide breadth of organic content marketing material created by people, not AI, to help educate people on money and debt management matters and reach potential new clients.

Our head office is based in Kitchener, Ontario and work-from-home is possible during regular business hours.

**Skills**:

- Minimum 3 to 5 years experience in marketing related discipline.
- Creativity and strategic outlook towards effective messaging and content curation.
- Excellent communication, writing and editing skills including SEO copywriting.
- Experience with content management systems including social media tools, newsletter software, WordPress, Adobe creative cloud.
- Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively on outreach opportunities with influencers and the media.
- Strong time management and organizational skills and ability to multitask and meet shifting priorities.

**Responsibilities**:

- Help create a meaningful, engaging, and sustainable content strategy that increases brand awareness through multiple digital channels.
- Manage editorial calendar finding content gaps and creating a strategy that is cohesive across all channels and consistent with our brand identity.
- Content writing and creation, working with company experts to create content as well as optimizing web material for SEO.
- Editorial responsibility for monthly newsletters, managing contacts and giveaway programs.
- Publishing content for multiple web properties, including blog posts, monthly newsletters, social media posts.
- Manage social media and engagement including responding to messages and questions.
- Building relationships with industry influencers and guest recruitment for weekly podcast.
- Media outreach and press release writing for promotion of annual industry study.
- Google reviews management and reporting
- Collaborate with marketing team and co-founders on new projects and overall strategy.

This position is for someone who has strong creativity, yet attention to detail. We are looking for someone who is hands on and likes to take on many challenges, can manage multiple tasks independently and is a team player. This is a role with the ability to grow in terms of the breadth of experience in a small, but innovative, marketing team.

Competitive salary and benefits, $60,000 to $75,000 plus benefits based on experience.

**Salary**: $60,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
