Eavestrough Maintenance, Repair and Cleaning

We are a small local company that does residential and commercial eavestrough cleaning and other small jobs at heights. We are currently hiring labourers for eavestrough maintenance technician (eavestrough cleaner). The job entails navigating Winnipeg doing small, mostly residential eavestrough cleaning and small repair jobs.

We are currently seeking a full time, laborer to work 40 + hours per week (we work Saturdays as well) for roughly 4-6 week period, through October and early November, as long as we are able to clean eavestroughs (not completely frozen). This position is temporary and for a limited time as needed by the company. However, it could potentially lead to a full-time permanent, seasonal, opportunity as these positions become available.

**Job Requirements**:

- Must have experience working at heights and be comfortable with moving, setting up, and climbing ladders up to 35 ft.
- Fall arrest training is a good asset.
- Experience in gutter maintenance, repair, or gutter install is a major asset.
- Must be hardworking and in good physical shape.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
- Must be capable of working unsupervised and personable towards clients and coworkers.
- No educational requirements. Basic understanding of small engine equipment is as asset.
- Drivers license, reliable work vehicle, and cell phone with data plan are good assets.

**About the Job**:

- Part-time, casual hours. We do not work if raining or too windy. “Rain days” can be made up on weekends if desired.
- Commonly crews consist of two members. Shifts are eight hours starting at 9 AM. This is flexible and to be coordinated between members of your crew.
- Pay is $20-25/hr based on experience and performance.
- There is a substantial customer service component to the job. You will be expected to communicate thoroughly with and attempt to fulfil the requests of the customer even if it slows productivity.
- Working interview (tryout) is $20/hr with cash paid at the end of the day.
- Pay can be weekly or bi-weekly.
- Will consider applicants for working independently with your own vehicle. More of these positions will open up temporarily in the spring and fall when we are busiest.
- Opportunity for advancement to foreman/crew lead position ($30/hr) with a drivers license.
