**About The Operations Support Specialist**:
As an Operations Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting various departments to maintain and streamline business processes. Your responsibilities will range from supply chain planning and procurement to logistics and shipping coordination. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, contribute to process improvement initiatives, and ensure compliance with industry standards. This is a dynamic position that requires excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist in coordinating and executing operational tasks across departments, including production, scheduling, purchasing, project management, quality and other key areas.
- Collaborate with teams to streamline processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement efficiency-enhancing measures.
- Support in tracking and analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive operational excellence and meet organizational goals.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of operational procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Act as a liaison between departments, facilitating effective communication and promoting collaboration.
- Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives to enhance operational effectiveness and contribute to strategic decision-making.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Able to lift up to 50lbs (assisted if needed); may work in hot areas 5%, noise 0%.
- Ensure adherence to Health and Safety as well as active participation in 5S activities in work area.

**Attributes, Skills and Knowledge**:

- A Post-secondary degree or diploma in Engineering
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience
- Experience in Manufacturing preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to read and explain mechanical drawings
- Capable of working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and providing outstanding customer service
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Project management experience will be an asset
- Detail-oriented and versatile
- Self-motivated and effective at working with mínimal supervision

**This position works out of our Ottawa, Ontario location. Hours are typically 8:00am to 4:30pm with flexibility.**
