**Overview**
Bird Fuels ( Bird Fuels Heating and Cooling) in Shelburne are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced **Bookkeeper & Administrator** to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is highly organized, and enjoys working with numbers and systems. You’ll play a key role in managing our financial records, supporting administrative functions, and helping streamline operations.

**Duties**
- Provide bookkeeping and administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Perform general ledger accounting tasks, including journal entries, account reconciliation, and balance sheet reconciliation.
- Support inventory management and tracking
- Assist in financial report writing and preparation of budgets.
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or similar for bookkeeping and financial management.
- Conduct payroll processing and manage employee records.
- Collaborate with team members on account analysis and budgeting projects.
- Ensure proper filing and organization of financial documents for easy access.

**Experience**
- Proven experience as an Administrative Assistant or in a similar role within an accounting environment.
- Familiarity with corporate accounting practices, non-profit accounting, public accounting, or governmental accounting is preferred.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools
- Strong understanding of financial concepts including double entry bookkeeping, account reconciliation, debits & credits, bank reconciliation, and technical accounting principles.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour
