**About the Job**:
A Leadership Development Specialist who lives and breathes Leadership Development, while driving opportunity and growth for the organization. Join us and lead the creation of an engaging program that delivers exceptional employee growth. Reporting directly to the Director of People & Culture, and supported by SHIPs Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Manager, Education Lead, and steering committee established to support this initiative.The Leadership Development Specialist will be responsible for creating/developing a career path framework and standardized practice on how employees can grow through a sustainable training program that focuses on employee leadership, mentorship, and sponsorship. Responsibilities will also include the development, implementation, and evaluation of this framework and practice while aligning with SHIP’s Learning and Development program.Leadership program development and implementation will be built in the organizations’ HRIS (ADP WFN) Learning Management System (LMS) software. Key focus on creating and bridging applicable program tools that aid in driving innovation for the Organization. - cultural understanding, and inclusion.**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Program Development_
- Develop/enhance/operationalize a leadership program
- Develop/operationalize a mentorship program
- Develop/operationalize a sponsorship program
- Develop/operationalize a career path framework and standardized practice
- Create multisource course content (i.e. In-class learning, e-learning)- Program Implementation_
- Pre and post-programming set up and coordination on LMS and other platforms.
- Support coordination and administration while working with all applicable committees
- Support leaders/staff to develop and implement initiatives that enhance organizational effectiveness and support organizational transformation
- Internal marketing of Organizational Development programs and initiatives
- Create all tools related to supporting these programs and develop in HRIS Learning Management Software (ADP WFN)- Collaboration and Partnership_
- Work closely with the Director of People & Culture, EDI Manager, Education Lead and People & Culture Lead for knowledge sharing and program development
- Build and support a sustainable and productive relationship with staff, leadership, the community and clients
- Participate in other internal committees and liaise with external service providers as necessary- Evaluation_
- Program evaluation (survey design, data analysis, reporting)- Other_
- Understand and be able to integrate a philosophy of person-centred care
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to quality care and service delivery based on SHIP’s Vision, Mission and Values
- Ensure appropriate records are kept and make sure that statistical information is maintained as per agency standards
- Demonstrated commitment to understanding and aiding in the pursuit of equity, diversity and inclusion
- Complete other duties as required/determined by the Director of People & Culture.
**Qualifications**:
- Post-secondary education in Adult Education, Leadership, Organizational Behaviour, Human Resources, or equivalent
- 3+ years' experience in learning-development
- Experience in building a leadership, mentorship, and/or sponsorship program
- Ability to integrate business objectives and organizational goals into program delivery and support program design
- Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated capacity to connect and collaborate effectively with diverse teams, facilitating the establishment of shared goals, fostering consensus, and promoting cooperative decision-making
- Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfort with ambiguity and ability to translate concepts and ideas into practical, implementable programs and initiatives
- Collaborator with demonstrated experience in rolling up your sleeves to pitch in where needed and work cohesively within the team
- Demonstrated ability to work without direct supervision in a team environment
- Expertise in a healthcare environment an asset
**Reporting Function**:
- The Leadership Development Specialist will report directly to the Director of People & Culture and will not have any supervisory responsibility. They will work with both internal and external partners and will interact with all levels within the organization.They will be a support system, resource, and advocate for the staff and organization.**Working Conditions and Physical Requirements**:
- Day shifts (Monday - Friday) with the ability to work excess/overtime hours where required
