Learning & Development Specialist

We are looking for a Learning & Development Specialist to join Element Fleet Management. The Learning & Development Specialist will play a key role in ensuring the successful and timely execution of our learning initiatives and fostering overall employee growth and development. This is a highly collaborative role interacting with HR business partners, HRIS and other members of the business to optimize, coordinate, and implement learning globally. The specialist will efficiently organize tasks, monitor progress, track and document risks and decisions, and ensure effective communication with team members and partners. Additionally, this role will manage the administration, troubleshooting, and support of our Learning Management System (Workday) and Learning Experience Platform (Degreed), seeking ways to enhance system effectiveness and addressing system issues and enhancement requests with vendors.
A Day in the Life
- System Administration, Governance, and Learning Support:_
- _ Administration, troubleshooting, and support of the LMS (Workday) and LXP (Degreed)_
- _ Monitor and maintain learning community governance and standards_
- _ Provide helpdesk support for learning-related inquiries from the business_
- _ Create instructor-led training offerings within the system; manage attendance and enrollment_
- _ Collect and analyze data related to learning and development to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement_
- _ Monitor learning system usage and support learning dashboard and reporting requests_
- _ Lead system enhancements, process improvement, and automation initiatives; support configuration and conduct testing for system enhancements_
- _ Develop and maintain procedures and work process documentation_
- Project Management:_
- _ Support and manage components of the annual compliance learning and onboarding programs, including system configuration, implementation of new features, completion tracking, and user support_
- _ Support and manage components of business learning projects and updates to existing content, including content curation, resource updates, and entry-level instructional design_
- _ Develop detailed project plans to monitor and track progress and ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope_
- _ Collect evaluations, learning assessments, and/or conduct interviews to measure program success; use data-driven insights to propose learning program enhancements and new initiatives_
- Communication:_
- _ Create communication materials to build awareness and drive the adoption of learning and development offerings_
- _ Ensure effective communication and understanding of learning and development expectations and strategies across key business partners_
- _ Assist with developing presentations related to learning and development strategy, performance, and roadmap_
- Stakeholder Collaboration:_
- _ Collaborate with various stakeholders across PPC and the business to align learning and development initiatives with organizational goals_
- _ Consult with stakeholders to identify needs, gather lessons learned, and provide regular project progress updates_
Qualifications
- _ Three or more years of relevant experience_
- _ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required_
- _ Solid understanding of learning principles and practices; knowledge of various instructional design methods, tools, learning techniques, and development strategies is preferred_
- _ Familiarity with a learning & development strategy and including learning program design and delivery, learning facilitation, and measurement of learning solution success_
- _ Ability to recognize learner support patterns, identify root causes, and solutions_
- _ Proactive thinker with a detail-oriented and creative problem-solving approach_
- _ Savvy with Excel, system reporting, and learning new technologies_
- _ Excellent planning, organizing, and follow-up skills; ability to plan, execute, and monitor multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously_
- _ Self-starter and demonstrated ability and willingness to learn; motivation and dedication to excellence_
- _ Effective verbal and written communication skills; skilled collaborator_
