**Job Overview**
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team on a part-time basis, with the potential to extend to full-time in the future if desired.

The anticipated starting hours will be approximately 20 hours per week in person during the office hours of 8:30 am-4:30 pm Mondays through Fridays, with some flexibility in how the work week can look.

**Who We Are**
We are the regional kidney specialist clinic serving Fraser Health - East region, spanning Langley to Hope and surrounding areas. We are a group of six nephrologists looking to add a third Medical Office Assistant to our well-established practice.

**Duties**
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner at the front desk.
- Schedule appointments and maintain the appointment calendar using the electronic medical record (EMR) Accuro system.
- Confirm that required pre-clinic laboratory and other investigations are completed and follow-up on patients with outstanding tests.
- Blood pressure monitoring for patients in the office waiting room.
- Coordinate booking urgent investigations such as kidney biopsies with hospital Medical Imaging departments.
- Assist with filing, scanning, and maintaining patient records in compliance with privacy regulations.

**Experience**
- Completion of a Medical Office Assistant training program and/or experience in a medical office is required. Starting compensation can be discussed based on relevant experiences you bring.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (Accuro EMR) is a plus but not required.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 24 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
