**Summary**: The Market Manager will actively establish the strategic direction for Manufacturing Reps & Wholesale Distribution in an effort to gain market share with the Aalberts IPS Brands (Apollo, Apollo Valves, Shurjoint, Apollo Press and Power Press. In the role, you will be responsible for maintain relationships with Mechanical Contractors, Mechanical Engineers and our Wholesale partners. This role will be guided and will report to the Director of Sales. Required to create annual strategic business plans, develop regional project tacking logs, and build strong relationships with engineers, contractors, owners, and distributors. The role is to manage the business for long-term year over year growth.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Develop and Maintain relationships with wholesalers/Distributors in your regions.
- Develop and Maintain relationships with Mechanical Contractors.
- Develop and Maintain relationships with regional Engineering firms, provide presentations for spec approval and project opportunities.
- Provide job site training as the manufacturer’s representative. Track attendees and log.
- Use Salesforce as your CRM and Dodge as your job-hunting resource. Take valuable information from Dodge for opportunities with Engineers and spec approval, while engaging mechanical contractor to use our products in upcoming projects.
- Track, engage and be involved in your market daily.
- Develop annual, quarterly and monthly sales plans for a clear strategy to execute in the markets of responsibility.
- Manage current portfolio and pursue avenues for organic growth
- Pursue new end users/contractors, owners, & facility engineering and develop long-term relationships.
- Attend industry meetings, trade shows and events.
- Must have the ability to present products to engineers, owners and contractors via power point and/or through a detailed conversation.
- Mechanically inclined and has an understanding of piping systems
- A willingness to learn and develop product knowledge and understand competitive products.
- Understanding the market and market trends to report up to management.
- Be able to create annual strategic business plans.
- Develop regional project tracking logs.
- Willingness to travel daily and some overnights to manage the assigned geography
**Qualifications/Requirements**:
- Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years in business, marketing, or sales or equivalent industry related experience which encompasses sales of valves, grooved product, or related industry products.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred.
- Should have a strong organizational background
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Must be a solid public speaker and presenter.
- Must be able to interpret written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to maintain accurate records.
- Valid ON Driver’s License and ability to lift 50lbs when required.
- Comfortable to attend active jobsites for training and presenting purposes.
- Excellent organizational skills, detail oriented.
- Requires constructive and solid judgments.
**Desired Skills**:
- Possesses knowledge of sales channels - distribution, contractor, end-user, specifying engineers, etc.
- Possesses knowledge of competitors’ products.
- Highly developed professional sales and self-management skills.
- Excellent administrative and interpersonal skills.
- Has the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of Salesforce
