**Role Brief**:The Event Logistics Manager plays a critical role in ensuring that our food market events unfold seamlessly. As the mainstay during event days, this individual supervises on-site activities from initial set-up to the final teardown. Beyond the bustle of event days, this role is instrumental in inventory management, supplier communication, and contract oversight.

**Primary Duties & Responsibilities**:
**On-Site Supervision**: Guide the set-up and teardown of event paraphernalia, including tables, chairs, tents, washrooms, and other related items.

**Inventory Oversight**: Manage inventory in storage, ensuring items are well-maintained and instituting an efficient inventory tracking system.

**Staff Management**: Hire, onboard, and oversee part-time staff to guarantee productive task allocation and timely task execution.

**Supplier Engagement**: Foster robust relationships with suppliers, ensuring timely delivery and availability of required event items.

**Event Layout Planning**: Confer with the event manager to finalize event floorplans and affirm all logístical elements are prearranged.

**Budget Adherence**: Stick firmly to the event budget, distinguishing between in-house assets and rented items.

**Event-Day Communication**: Serve as the primary liaison on event days, communicating with cleaning crews, security personnel, and addressing any logístical challenges.

**Contract Stewardship**: Direct contract management endeavors, ensuring agreements with suppliers are timely and align with our requirements.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Prior experience in event logistics or similar domain.
- Acute organizational acumen with adept multitasking abilities.
- Proficient team management capabilities.
- Astute budget management expertise.
- Clear and assertive communication skills.
- Availability during weekends, especially for Friday setups and teardown on Sunday evenings or Monday mornings.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with inventory management systems is advantageous.

**Working Commitment**:The position demands approximately 80 hours monthly, predominantly centered around our weekend events. Event magnitude and regularity might necessitate additional hours.

**Note**:While the Event Logistics Manager ensures flawless logístical execution, they won't be handling vendor relationships.
