**Key Account Manager - FTT**

Hours of work: Full-time (37.5 hrs/wk) Flexible Work Role: Hybrid

Annual salary: $ 107,000.00 - 135,300.00

**What you'll do**
- As part of our Customer Service Team, our team of Key Account Managers work with our largest commercial, government
and industrial customer to address their customer service and electricity needs, and to deliver BC Hydro energy
management programs. Key Account Managers also bring our customer knowledge to other BC Hydro Lines of Business
(LOB) to help them make customer-centric decisions.
Specific responsibilities in the Government Sector include:

- Developing partnerships with our government sector customers by establishing relationships with customers' senior

management for the purpose of achieving mutual benefits, i.e. maximizing our customers' long term business while
maximizing Hydro's profitability
- Providing a point of contact to manage / resolve all customer issues, concerns and problems.
- Providing strategic planning, coordination and advice for BC Hydro management and internal groups on customers' need

for service connections, programs, and rates.
- Maintaining active knowledge of, and involvement in, the business community and industry associations to maintain

expertise on current industry trends and activities which impact key BC Hydro customers.
- Leading and/or facilitating task teams of key internal decision makers across all LOBs to address and bring timely

resolution to customer issues/needs for the long term benefits of both the customer and BC Hydro (i.e., T&D, Energy
Procurement, Legal, Corp. Communication, etc.).
- Identifying key customer business issues and challenges which can be addressed by current or possible future BC Hydro

programs, services and business agreements (i.e. billing analysis, contract development, DSM project development,
customer communications, etc.).
- Initiating, assisting in, or championing the development, delivery, and evaluation of programs and business agreements

with internal BC Hydro groups, which contribute to the long term success and profitability of both our customers and BC
Hydro.
- Developing and directing key account and government sector strategies driven by customer needs and business

principles while remaining compliant with BC Hydro's legal, regulatory and financial business requirements.
- Providing expert advice to customers, consultants and government agencies on key BC Hydro issues, including rate

changes, technical updates, key account business direction, issues and experiences.
- Anticipating and tracking external business trends and government policy or regulatory influences to determine the impact

upon the customer and developing strategies for BC Hydro to influence and/or manage those externalities.
- Some travel throughout the province is required to facilitate strategy development and delivery, to respond to customer

needs, and provide senior management interface with customers.

**What you bring**
- University degree or professional designation or equivalent.
- Three (3) to five (5) years sales, marketing or relevant business experience.
- Some technical DSM knowledge and expertise.
- Superior oral and written skills.
- Excellent leadership capabilities.
- Ability to lead and function effectively as a member of a team.
- Strong marketing and sales ability and strong strategic and visionary abilities.
- Effective negotiating skills.
- Good common-sense business judgment, and the confidence and energy to deal regularly with customers on sensitive
- issues.
- Committed to being a leader in energy conservation and energy efficiency.

** What else you should know**
- Please note this is an approx. 24 months temporary opportunity.
- Key Account portfolios are assigned to Key Account Managers and are changed intermittently.

Provincial accounts, representing many millions of dollars in revenue to BC Hydro, as well as key stakeholder engagement
and customer relationship priorities.
- A condition of employment for this job is that you maintain your Driver's License: Class 5.
