We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Controller to join our energetic team. As Controller, you will take a lead role in financial management, overseeing accounting operations, ensuring compliance, and contributing to strategic decision-making processes. This position requires a proactive and organized individual who is passionate about supporting our mission and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management:

- Oversee all accounting functions, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and general ledger across the group of companies.Prepare, analyze, and present financial reports, ensuring timely and accurate information for decision-making.Handle financial management tasks specific to projects, including processing progress draws, monitoring project budgets, and ensuring accurate reporting of project costs.Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes, facilitating strategic planning activities.Complete and file monthly, quarterly and year-end bank reporting-Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard organizational assets.Liaise with external accountants to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

HR Functions:

- Complete semi-monthly payroll and YE Payroll reporting
- Manage Benefits plan
- Manage WCB accounts
- Provide support for HR functions, including onboarding new employees

Team Support and Communication:

- Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and streamline processes acrossdepartments.
- Foster a positive work culture through effective communication and teamwork.

**Requirements**:

- CPA designation preferred (CA, CMA, CGA)
- Proven experience in a similar controller or financial leadership role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting for private

Companies (ASPE)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines
