Troubled Monk is a growing craft beverage company rooted in community and creativity. We're seeking a skilled and motivated **Financial Controller** who is excited to take ownership of our finance function and support our team in making smart, data-driven decisions.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Accounting and Bookkeeping**
- Perform daily accounting activities, such as journal entries and reconciliations
- Independently manage accounts payable and receivable with accuracy and timeliness
- Reconcile bank, credit card, and vendor accounts monthly
- Administer and submit bi weekly payroll and employee reimbursements
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping records across all departments
- Prepare and file returns for AGLC, Excise Tax, GST, and ABCRC

**Budget and Cash Management**
- Lead the company’s annual budgeting process in coordination with department heads
- Monitor cash flow and working capital through regular forecasting
- Recommend cost-control strategies to support financial stability and growth

**Financial Analysis**
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets and cash flows
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis reporting for strategic planning
- Identify trends, risks, and opportunities through financial data analysis
- Present monthly financials and performance insights to leadership
- Complete product costing and commission calculations
- Evaluate spending for efficiency and cost savings

**Skills and Qualifications**
- Proficient in Quickbooks online
- Understanding of Dext, Payworks, Plooto and Fathom is a benefit
- Professional Accounting Designation is a benefit
- Excellent communication, analytical and problem solving skills
- Uphold a commitment to accuracy with meticulous attention to detail
- Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team
