Premier Building Solutions specializes in project management and general contracting construction in medium to large scale building projects in multifamily, retail, commercial and the hospitality industry. The Controller will work closely with senior executives, the accounting team and the project managers with daily and general accounting processes including monitoring operating capital, banking reconciliations, intercompany transactions, cheque deposits, set up and weekly distribution of supplier and subcontractor payments and other general banking duties. In addition, the Controller will oversee accounts payable and other related transactions including payments for tax and tax installments, supplier and subcontractor invoices, direct deposit authorizations, payment approvals, recurring invoices, resolve supplies and subcontractor inquiries regarding payments status of invoices, holdbacks and generate project for monthly invoicing. It will further be the Controller responsibility to oversee payroll administration, payroll source deductions remittances, transfer payroll in system and preparation of annual WCB reporting. As well, the Controller will monitor benefit provider statements, benefits deductions, prepare and submit ROE's, prepare annual T4"s, set up new source deductions rates and thresholds. The Controller will be familiar with project management accounting principles including setting up of variance budgets, creating monthly project folders, monthly worksheet variances, and ad hoc reports as needed for Project Managers. Knowledge of Maestro accounting software would be an asset. **EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE** University degree in Business/Accounting with a professional accounting designation. Experience, in the construction industry with significant experience in corporate accounting and financial management would be an asset.
