Who are we looking for?
We are growing and seeking an HR Assistant for our HR department. This position will require you to provide administrative support to the Human Resources department in a wide range of human resource functions such as health and safety, performance management, and payroll and benefits, with a focus on recruitment, onboarding, and wellness programs.

**Qualifications**:

- University Degree or College Diploma in Human Resources
- 1-2 years’ of previous human resources experience is an asset
- Previous recruiting experience is an asset
- CHRP designation or working towards designation is preferred
- Experience working with HRIS and payroll software is an asset and Dayforce experience is preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Detail-orientated with ability to multi-task
- Ability to work independently, as well as within a team.

**Responsibilities**:

- Communicating benefit information to employees
- Ensure compliance with employment related laws/practices
- Administer and enforce HR strategies, procedures, and policies
- Health & Safety, maintain records and be an active member of the JHSC
- Maintain all employee records (HRIS)
- Organize and deliver new employee orientation, on-boarding and off-boarding
- Answer employee questions and address employee concerns
