Network Infrastructure Administrator Career Opportunity

The Dufresne Group is currently seeking a **Network Infrastructure Administrator.**

As a Network Infrastructure Administrator, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of all network infrastructure technologies, including but not limited to network communications Lan/WIFI/WIFI. These core technologies also intersect with voice and collaboration, server, virtualization, cloud and storage, and data centre. The individual actively implements, maintains, plans, and schedules troubleshooting of network infrastructure assets for the organization. In this role, the individual requires incident, change and problem management, actively seeks opportunities to reduce risks and provides input to our Infrastructure Delivery team and stakeholders. With a focus on Excellence in Everything Everyday, this role collaborates within the IOS team and with cross-functional teams throughout business operations to enforce controls and provide operations support of security tools.

As the Network Infrastructure Administrator, you will:

- Participate in technical reviews and advisement on capabilities and limitations of network and security technologies.
- Verify new technologies and provide assessments of compatibility with the current network ecosystem.
- Research and evaluate technologies and products to improve performance, reduce costs or increase efficiencies.
- Validate detailed technical specifications for hardware and software by supporting senior resources in decisions for network technologies.
- Install hardware and/or software in test and production environments.
- Implement and enhance network and security technologies infrastructure components and integrate third-party components using standard tools (batch languages, programming languages, etc.).
- Support business acceptance testing and unit and system testing of all technology deliverables.
- Achieve the highest possible quality in projects, day-to-day operation implementations (with the fewest defects), and deliverables.
- Create project deliverables (estimates, schedules, risk assessments, etc.) as a project team member by ensuring financial budgets align with infrastructure project costs.
- Follow processes and procedures for IOS to function in clearly defined actions during Infrastructure incidents and in day-to-day operations.
- Initiate incidents to ensure the organization gets business back up and running quickly while safeguarding organizational assets.
- Assist the team during business hours and after hours with all network incidents.
- Survey and provide input in the development of the day-to-day operations of the Infrastructure Delivery department focusing on the technologies within the realm and the operationalization of processes and procedures based on the ITIL framework and best practices.
- Confirm the delivery of customer-centric & effective network support services to our organization that achieve service-level agreements (SLAs).
- Prepare for business and technology projects, changes, and enhancements to ensure an effective support transition to the Infrastructure Technology Delivery teams.
- Coordinate with the Manager, Infrastructure, to maintain the currency of infrastructure technology realm licenses and contracts and drive decision-making through the development of roadmaps and plan to optimize access, usage, and costs.
- Understand the reporting of key results, operating expenses, risks, and trends.
- Collaborate with business and technology partners to inform trends, remove roadblocks, and contribute to prioritizing, planning for, and implementing improvements that optimize our customer’s experience.
- Contribute to the design and continuous improvement of the infrastructure delivery change process and procedures.
- Work to continuously improve SLA and KPI metrics by understanding the impact of their own and the team’s performance.
- Escalate business continuity and disaster recovery processes and procedures and work with teams to ensure continuous DR readiness for all identified Network Technology services.
- Execute operational controls and improvements to ensure best practices are followed and to promote automation opportunities within Infrastructure Technologies, respectively.
- Evaluate fiscal planning for Network Technology, ensuring operational and capex budgets are within allocated levels through research, information, and recommendations.
- Respond to the monitoring and alerting of events generated by various network ecosystem technologies, including all IOS tools.
