Systems Administrator

**Job Summary**

**REPORTING TO: Manager, Information Technology**

**RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES**
- Subject Matter Expert (SME) in one of the following areas: Hyperconverged Infrastructure / Storage, Microsoft Server / Active Directory, End User Device Management (Intune / SCCM, Automox), Cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP), Networking (On-premises and Cloud), FortiGate Firewalls, Ubiquiti UniFi Networking and/or Protect, Microsoft 365, Veeam Backup
- Providing tier 2 to support and working along with our systems analysts to help troubleshoot user issues
- Performing daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all systems and resources, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups
- Supporting and administrating systems including Active Directory, Group Policy, Microsoft 365, SQL Server, Windows Server, VPN, Fortinet Firewalls, Ubiquiti UniFi, and Teams phone systems
- Strong skills in TCP/IP Networking, network topology and firewalled environments
- Assisting with technology planning through the ongoing research of available solutions that will reduce costs and improve productivity
- Preparing and maintaining IT documentation related to policies, systems, and networks, including technology topology maps
- Providing periodic on-call support during non-business hours & weekend / evening work to perform system tasks

**DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS**
- 4+ years of experience in a System Administrator or equivalent role
- Completion of an IT-related diploma or degree or equivalent experience
- Working knowledge of Project Management principles and ITIL framework
- Technology Certifications are an asset
- Experience in writing Python, PowerShell scripts to automate various tasks
- Experience with Help Desk and Vulnerability management software
- Experience with Network Security and Cybersecurity Frameworks CIS, NIST, ISO
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
