**Job Summary**

The **Network Administrator** is responsible for ensuring the stable operation of our organization’s computer networks. This includes planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, and optimizing network hardware, software, and communication links. The role also involves troubleshooting network issues, implementing security measures, and supporting users.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Install, configure, and manage network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls, etc.).
- Maintain and monitor network performance, ensuring optimal connectivity.
- Implement security measures to protect the network from threats.
- Troubleshoot network issues and provide technical support to users.
- Perform regular system updates, patches, and backups.
- Manage user access, permissions, and authentication protocols.
- Document network configurations, policies, and procedures.
- Collaborate with IT teams to support infrastructure projects.
- Provide after hours and on call support as required.

**Required Skills**:

- In depth knowledge and understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, SDWAN, etc).
- Experience with Fortinet network hardware and software.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Relevant certifications (Fortinet NSE, CCNA, CompTIA Network+, etc.) are a plus.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in an information technology related field an asset
- Relevant certifications (Fortinet NSE, CCNA, CompTIA Network+, etc.) are a plus.
- 3+ Years of Network Administrator experience.

- Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication and customer service skills.
- Able to establish and maintain effective relationships with others by showing understanding, friendliness, courtesy, tact, empathy, concern, and politeness to others
- Encourage team spirit by working openly with others to achieve goals
- Valid Manitoba driver’s license.

Pay: $45,805.76-$72,467.67 per year
