**About the Department of University Advancement**:
As part of The Office of University Advancement, Marketing and Communications integrates expertise, efforts and experience to help Mount Royal University meet its institutional goals. Marketing and Communications also collaborates with resources on and off campus to provide the best possible support to foster Mount Royal’s reputation and image as a premier Canadian undergraduate institution. This is accomplished by developing and implementing strategies to support the advancement of Mount Royal’s institutional priorities, assisting with increasing the institution's profile and reputation, and acting as an integral resource within the campus community. **About the Role**:
**Responsibilities**:
Content Creation (70%) Most of this role will involve creating dynamic social media content in the form of short videos (Tik Toks, Reels and Stories) and Live broadcasts on a regular weekly basis throughout each semester. This may include script writing, storyboarding, interviews and production.

**Required Skills**:

- Proven experience with creating video content for various social media channels including, but not limited to, Tik Tok, Instagram, YouTube.
- Must be a current MRU student with experience and familiarity with MRU campus life and knowledge of MRU student services and activities. Third or fourth year students who have had on-campus experience are preferred.
- Experience with shooting and editing video (on a smart phone or other) content for social media.
- Experience and comfortable being in front of the camera and interviewing others
- Able to take direction, content ideas and execute them creatively using video on Tik Tok and Instagram Reels.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
