This role is for a Backup Supervisor for our Metal Parts Cleaning division. The day shift runs 6:30am-3pm monday to friday (8 hour work day plus lunch). NO STUDENTS.

The **Backup Supervisor** **works on various machines with the team doing general labour duties for most of the time**. This incudes loading and offloading parts for most of the day. They also assist the Supervisor with all aspects of the job, and cover for the Supervisor when they are off (at a higher rate when covering).

Duties include but are not limited to:

- Assist the Leadhand (10% of the time), and **do general labour duties alongside your team (90% of the time).**
- Oversee and support Leadhands, departments and operators
- Manage all production schedules and machines/lines used
- Manage inventory of raw materials: track usage and do ordering (as required)
- Set up jobs for orders and the crews needed
- Create/assist with daily/weekly schedules.
- Monitoring daily efficiencies
- Ensure accuracy and completion of quality checks.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of paperwork, ncm logs, data entry, etc.
- Meet quality, material and efficiency budgets as outlined by process and quality instructions.
- Operate any equipment, or machinery as required.
- Work closely with management to create new processes
- Arrange and conduct weekly meetings with others (workers, leadhands etc)
- Coordinate with maintenance for idle machines for preventative maintenance and repairs
- Work with QA on new customer orders and samples
- Monitor times put in on orders by personnel to ensure they are accurate
- Work in a safe manner and follow all safety procedures.
- Proper housekeeping.
- Problem solving and critical thinking.
- Incoming inspection and final inspection.
- Maintain bin / order accuracy and traceability by following system.
- Inputting data into the system database.
- Product staging for line.
- Conduct tests and readings, as required.
- Development and implementation of new and existing processes.
- Assist in all aspects of other departments as required and instructed by the Plant Manager
- Responsible for managing safety within the department.
- Review and communication of safe work procedures to all existing and new employees. This includes temporary staff.
- Training of new and temporary employees (safety procedures, orientation, and job duties).
- Take initiative to keep self and team busy
- Other duties as assigned.

Pay: $21.27-$24.94 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
