Job Title: Site Mechanical Supervisor

Job duties include but are not limited to:

· Safety & Compliance

  1. Promote and maintain a safe working environment in accordance with company policies and health and safety regulations.

  2. Ensure safety equipment is available, up to date and pass Canadian Safety Standards.

· Operational Maintenance

  1. Ensure all pumps, blowers, aeration systems, and other mechanical equipment are operating smoothly and properly maintained.

  2. Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on all equipment and infrastructure.

  3. Ensure all safety and security sensors are operational and regularly tested.

  4. Verify that backup generators are functional and have been routinely tested.

  5. Maintain a log of maintenance activities and ensure timely repairs.

· Infrastructure Integrity and Construction

  1. Inspect and repair nets, screens, and floating raceways to ensure they are in good condition and free from holes or defects.

  2. Monitor and maintain the physical integrity of farm structures and systems to prevent loss of stock or equipment failure.

  3. Help build new Farms where applicable and share knowledge of previous construction.

· Inventory & Supplies

  1. Ensure an adequate supply of essential materials (e.g., nuts, bolts, fittings, lubricants) is on hand or ordered in advance.

  2. Track inventory levels and coordinate with procurement for restocking.

· Environmental & Predator Control

  1. Implement and maintain effective bird and predator control measures to protect stock.

  2. Monitor environmental conditions affecting site operations and recommend improvements where necessary.

· Team Support

  1. Work closely with Fish Technicians to support their operational needs.

  2. Respond promptly to issues affecting fish health or production that arise from mechanical or infrastructure problems.

· Innovation and Improvements

  1. Look to make improvements to the Grow-Out Farms in both efficiency and cost effectiveness.

Skills and Qualifications

A Site Mechanical Supervisor is responsible ensuring the safe and operation function of the Grow-Out farms. It includes bridging the gap between various departments and management groups within the company. The position requires strong interpersonal skills that will demonstrate the ability to balance the juggling act of competing priorities. The skills and qualifications required include but are not limited to:

· Organizational skills

· Excellent communication skills

· Problem-solving skills

· Ability to provide and receive constructive feedback

· Excellent management skills

· Ability to work efficiently as part of a team and individually, as needed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
