E-coat Backup Supervisor

Latem industries is a manufacturing facility located on Struck Court in Cambridge Ontario. This role is for a new E-Coat line. **Experience with E-Coat preferred. The pay rate will be based on E-Coat and Supervisory experience.**

The day shift time may vary depending on production needs and is yet to be finalized. The start time could be from 6:30am or a bit later such as 8:30. It will be 8 hours (plus a half hour lunch) each day, Monday to Friday. **NO STUDENTS.**

**The bus does not get you here for 6:30am. You must have your own transportation.**

**Please note: The Backup Supervisor** **works on the line with the team doing general labour duties for most of the time**. This incudes loading and offloading parts for most of the day, _**the same as your team**_**.**They also assist the Supervisor with all aspects of the job, and cover for the Supervisor when they are off (at a higher rate when covering).

**Duties include but are not limited to**:

- Assist the Supervisor (10% of the time), and do general labour duties alongside your team (90% of the time) loading and unloading racks, packing parts and loading totes etc.
- Responsible to ensure they and their team are efficiently and accurately loading/offloading parts onto the E-Coat line while adhering to quality standards and meeting production schedules.
- Plays a critical role in maintaining the flow of production and ensuring the highest quality of coated products.
- Prepare parts for the E-Coat process, including cleaning, masking and hanging parts as required. Ensure they meet the necessary preparation standards.
- Conduct visual inspections of parts before and after loading to identify defects, discrepancies or quality concerns, and to inform the Supervisor of any.
- Enter data and maintain accurate records of parts loaded, including quantities, part numbers, and any issues encountered.
- Do all quality checks and ensure they are accurate.
- Complete necessary documentation for quality and production tracking.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and PPE required while handling parts and equipment.
- Ensure equipment is working properly. Report any issues to the Supervisor.
- Direct and manage workers on the line, and work closely with other departments.
- Pack/load/offload parts, ensuring the tooling is full for efficiency.
- Learn and know all aspects of the department/line and each job associated with it.
- Assist with training and development of your team and temps.
- Proper housekeeping and problem solving.
- Work in a safe manner and ensure all your team does as well.
- When the Supervisor is absent this role oversees all aspects of the E-Coat line, including its operations and functions, and the team assigned to this line.
- If for some reason the line is down, then employees on this line will be assigned to other departments temporarily doing general labour duties there.
- Other duties as assigned
