Receptionist/administrative Assistant

Local Insurance Office in Thunder Bay is looking for a Receptionist/Administrative Assistant to join their team. This position requires an individual with a customer service focus who is able to work in a team environment and demonstrate exceptional organization and communication skills. Treat clients courteously and provide them with exemplary service since the receptionist is the first impression of the brokerage our clients receive.
Job Responsibilities:
- Providing assistance to our Manager and occasionally to our Customer Service Representatives
- Organizing, scanning and archiving documents
- Communicate with our clients, process payments and input information in our data entry system.
- Preparing client correspondence and other documentation as required.
- Call to set up meetings with our partners, inquire with various organizations for ordering of supplies and pricing.
- Keep an updated schedule for appointments and deadlines.
- Provide deposit registers to the accounting department and requesting broker cheques from the accounting department.
- General office administrative duties.
Applicant's Qualification:
- Professional and courteous.
- Must pay strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Must have exceptional verbal and written communication skills with customer focus in mind.
- Ability to work independently and with a team.
- Must be able to multitask in a fast paced environment and have excellent organization skills.
- Positive attitude and self motivated.
- Demonstrate the ability to use discretion when dealing with sensitive and confidential information.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications.
- Valid driver's license
Pay: $24.00-$28.00 per hour
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Thunder Bay, ON P7B 5Z3: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
**Education**:
- Secondary School (preferred)
**Experience**:
- Front desk: 1 year (preferred)
- Administrative experience: 1 year (preferred)
