**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Ensure full compliance of all drivers to all organizational policies and procedures as well as governing rules and regulations
- Recruitment, on-boarding, training, and day to day management of drivers
- Responsible for driver time and attendance, and payroll
- Keep a well-respected relationship with the drivers and is available for driver issues as needed
- Provide support, advice, and guidance to drives and monitors in responding to a variety of issues
- Keep track of training for all drivers and dedicated customer’s policies and procedures
- Monitor that the owner operators’ truck and trailer is being maintained on a quarterly schedule
- Ensure all accidents are investigated and documented in a timely fashion
- Handle all customer inquiries in regards to the drivers in an efficient and professional manner
- Is familiar with procedures related to freight
- Oversee that logs are kept and completed accurately; take action to correct any log infractions quickly
- Know and ensure all MTO laws are followed
- Ensure driver evaluations are kept up to date and are completed annually
- Ensure that drivers are completing the DVIR correctly and following the appropriate reporting procedure
- Monitor and ensure that driver licenses, certificates and abstracts are not expired and take action if coming up for expiration
- Review all company owned vehicles to ensure all preventive maintenance is complete

**Requirements and Qualifications**
- Experience in a driver supervisor / compliance role
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- The ability to be assertive and make logical decisions
- Strong transportation industry knowledge
