Bayshore is looking for a **Full-Time Human Resources Assistant** to join our team. Under the direction of the Area Director and the HR Manager, completes day-to-day human resources activities at the Branch Office and collaborates in relevant National Service Centre initiatives.
**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Assists with responding to telephone and written inquiries relating to the hiring and selection of Field employees as requested.
- Completing and filing any WCB claims, reports and documentation.
- Maintain Field employee HR database, files all required documentation, including copies of current professional registration, probationary and annual performance reviews, supervisory reports and continuing education documentation are included.
- Supports HR Manager & Recruiters with phone calls, reference checking, marking of quizzes, an other duties as assisgned.
- Maintains confidential employee files; including data entry, scanning and uploading of documents to employee files.
- Assist with payroll and benefits-related inquiries and assist employees to complete forms.
- Handles and screens incoming calls in the absence of the Receptionist, as well as handles and screens general HR inquiries coming from the in the office or by telephone.
- Handles external requests for reference checks and verification of employment; refer difficult situations to the Area Director &/or the HR Manager.
- Assist with development & formatting of materials such as spreadsheets, memos; handles thank-you, get weel and bereavement cards being sent to staff.
- Participate in ongoing internal and/or external continuing education activities.
- Adhere to Bayshore Policies and Procedures.
- Participate in quality activities and continuous improvement initiatives in keeping with the company's Quality Management System.
- Participates in proactive Health & Safety activities while performing all duties; Responsible to notify immediate Supervisor of any Health & Safety risks or concerns.
- Maintains confidentiality of client and corporate information and discusses same only with appropriate Bayshore personnel.
- Complete other tasks as requested.

Job Qualification
**Education**
Minimum - Secondary School Diploma. Completion of or attending a recognized Human Resources certificate or diploma program is preferred.
**Experience**
A minimum of two years progressively responsible and varied human resources experience.
