You will be an integral part of Computershare as this role performs daily reconcilement of high-volume accounts via the usage of automated reconciliation software, internal registry systems and external banks. This is not a typical finance reconciliation role that works with accounts payable and accounts receivable. Instead, this role considers anomalies, making sure that anything our systems cannot consolidate is researched and reported so the proper actions are completed for reconciliation.
This position sits with our North American Reconciliation department, reconciling all bank accounts held in Canada and the US on behalf of all our North American Corporate clients. The data handled pertains to dividend and interest disbursements, employee plans, dividend reinvestment and corporate action related activity.

In this role, you will have acute attention to detail in balancing the data and identifying the reconciliation clearing items. Your written and verbal communication skills will be an asset to concisely document the item and initiate action to have the items cleared by the relevant operational departments.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Daily reconcilement of high-volume accounts

- Balance the data and identify the reconciliation clearing items.
- Document items and initiate action to have the items cleared by the relevant operational departments.
- Providing accurate and timely daily, weekly, and monthly reporting
- Identifying and escalating areas of risk or problems to Line Manager

- Excellent written and verbal skills
- 1-3 years min experienced in complex accounting, bookkeeping or account reconciliation in a Finance Industry (preferred)
- Degree in the Financial Industry (preferred)
