We have a unique opportunity for someone to contribute their talents and strengths as a Shared Reconciliation Administrator in our Montreal office.

Our North American Reconciliation department reconciles all bank and share accounts held in Canada and the US on behalf of all our North American Corporate clients. The data handled pertains to dividend and interest disbursements, employee plans, dividend reinvestment and corporate action related activity. The ideal Reconciliation administrator will investigate errors and have a strong attention to detail.

This role in particular, is to reconcile Employee Plans Share accounts. It will prove very rewarding for someone with high attention to detail and excellent initiative to solve problems while meeting the challenge of a deadline

The Share Administrator is responsible to perform a variety reconciliation functions including balancing account activity emanating from both internal and external data as well as reporting to internal and / or external parties.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

- Perform Share account balancing by balancing accounts per account type and identify the discrepancies.
- Research out of balances by researching the cause of each discrepancy and ensure that all the applicable daily reporting for assigned regions is completed by the prescribed deadlines.
- Address and follow up on clearing items by communicating item to appropriate business line staff / track progress and follow up.
- Navigate in applicable system by achieving a proficient knowledge of and regularly utilize all related external / internal systems / software’s that are required to perform reconciliation.
- Participate in cross training by providing and / or receiving on the job cross training in order to provide back up during busy periods.

Other key skills required for the role include:

- Collegiate or University level Designation in Accounting / Finance (preferred)
- Reconciliation and / or Accounting experience within Financial Industry
- Highly analytical, with a focus on accuracy in handling high volume information
- Able to work independently and within a team
- Able to effectively meet deadlines
