Residential Leasing Coordiator

Reporting to the Director of Residential and Tenant Services, the Residential Leasing Coordinator supports the lease administration for their designated properties within the Edison portfolio, ensuring that regulatory standards are met and providing expert support for generation and renewal of tenant leases.

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Administrative Support_
- Trains and develops tools (such as manuals or checklists) to support Yardi users within the organization.
- Provide input or track data for reports as required by Property Managers and Director of Residential Leasing and Tenant Services.
- Providing input to the Residential Property Managers to facilitate smooth operations.
- Reviews Arrears listing for entry errors etc.
- Verify rent roll reports.
- Leasing Support _
- Partners with the Resident Managers to ensure that terms of lease agreements are met, investigating any issues and taking appropriate action based on predefined guidelines. Involves Residential Property Managers and Director of Residential Leasing and Tenant Services as needed.
- Plans for the lease renewal process by directing and evaluating the leasing and rental renewal activities for residential properties.
- Maintains accurate and complete tenant files in the computer system.
- Maintains parking files/reports, including cancellations and addendums.
- Handles first line of inquiries regarding parking and residential lease agreements including disagreements regarding costs, payments, damage claims.
- Assists with Above Guideline Duties as necessary in preparation of new lease rates.
- Leads Security Deposit Refund process as guided by the Residential Tenancies Branch (RTB) legislation.
- Follows Government Relations through the RTB to create notices to new tenants, notice of rent increases and any governed compliance orders.
- For completing any other activities and tasks as directed or assigned by the Director of Residential Leasing and Tenant Services in alignment with the responsibilities outlined herein.

Other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- High School graduate or equivalent
- Must have two years’ experience with residential property management, lease administration and regulatory standards.
- Word and Excel at a basic level (creates documents, opens documents, navigates and searches, formats paragraphs including working with Tabs, margins, lists, breaks and spacing, creates and edits tables, prints pages, envelopes and labels).
- Experience with Yardi or other Property Management software would be an asset.
