Winnipeg, Canada Talbot & Associates CPA Full time

We're looking for a reliable and proactive **Facilities Coordinator** to oversee the day-to-day coordination of building maintenance, vendor scheduling, and tenant support. This is a **casual position** with **flexible hours** — ideal for someone looking to contribute meaningfully without the commitment of a fixed full-time schedule. The role may evolve into a part-time or full-time position depending on operational needs and mutual interest, however there are **no guaranteed minimum hours** at this time.

**WHY THIS ROLE COULD BE A FIT**

Whether you're semi-retired, between roles, or looking for a flexible position with real impact, this casual opportunity lets you bring your skills to a dynamic workplace without the demands of a fixed schedule. We're flexible, and we value great work when we see it.

**WHAT WE OFFER**
- Hourly pay for every hour worked, including during busy seasons, with the option to be paid out for extra hours or bank them for future use.
- Reimbursement for personal medical expenses, with the opportunity to invest unused amounts in a deferred profit-sharing plan (DPSP) account.
- Participation in a group benefits plan, including life insurance, dependent life insurance, accidental death and dismemberment insurance, and long-term disability insurance.
- Investment opportunities, including a group retirement savings plan and a group tax-free savings account with payroll deduction options.
- The chance to influence our business performance and be a vital part of an ambitious team in a leading industry firm.
- Ongoing development, training, and the possibility of tuition or course reimbursement.
- Opportunities to reach your full potential in your role.
- Flexibility to accommodate special work hour arrangements.
- A workplace culture centered around treating each other and our clients like family. We support one another in all aspects of life and strive to build each other up to succeed and excel. We also promote a fun atmosphere in the office and through many activities and events outside of work.
- An open-door opportunity for wage negotiations based on performance.

**WHO YOU ARE**
- A warm, positive, and self-motivated individual who excels in both verbal and written communication.
- Organized, skilled at time management, and thrive in fast-paced environments with tight deadlines.
- A collaborative team player, building strong relationships with colleagues and vendors.

**WHAT YOU’LL BRING**
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills — able to work well with manager, tradespeople, vendors, tenants, and internal teams. Comfortable reporting updates, asking questions, and offering helpful & constructive feedback.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to resolving issues.
- Experience coordinating with vendors or tradespeople in a facilities/property management setting is a strong asset.
- Familiarity with building operations or maintenance is a strong asset.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Teams) would be an asset.
- Must have reliable means of transportation and a valid driver’s license.

**WHAT YOU’LL DO**
- Liaise with the appropriate team members or service providers to monitor and ensure the timely resolution of building maintenance tickets.
- Serve as the point of contact for contractors, tradespeople, and vendors to schedule and coordinate work as needed. Also, verify that work has been completed as agreed.
- Shop for building-related supplies, tools, or materials as required.
- Support and communicate with tenants, helping to address concerns and maintain positive relationships.
- Maintain and update a regular building maintenance schedule to ensure preventative care and smooth operations.
- Help ensure the building complies with relevant codes and regulations (occasional research may be required).
- Coordinate scheduling and logistics for our on-site events centre.
- Other duties, relevant to the position, shall be assigned as required.

**WORKING CONDITIONS**
- **Work Environment**:primarily office-based within our St Norbert location (may occasionally require onsite support for our satellite locations), with regular movement throughout the property, including mechanical rooms and outdoor areas. Occasionally exposed to noisy, dusty, or hazardous conditions during inspections or supervision of work.
- **Physical Requirements**:may involve standing, walking, climbing ladders, and lifting equipment (under 50 lbs).
- **On-Call**:includes on-call responsibilities for after-hours maintenance issues.
- **Travel**:mínimal, but may be needed for off-site meetings, vendor visits, satellite office visits or supply runs.
