The **Oshawa, ON **office is looking for a hardworking, results-oriented professional **Material Coordinator** to join our Purchasing Department team.

**SUMMARY OF THE ROLE**:
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Understand project schedule milestones and engage relevant parties to ensure compliance
- Interface with internal stakeholders to ensure purchasing-related activities (Purchase Requisitions, Purchase Orders, et) are maintained within the project schedules
- When required, generate Purchase Requisitions for the review, approval, and processing by internal stakeholders
- Engage internal stakeholders and suppliers to expedite processing of procurement
- related activities, when necessary
- Notify key internal stakeholders of any potential procurement related schedule risks
- Ongoing maintenance of Company Material Tracking File MTF) for assigned jobs
- Assist in the closeout of Purchase Orders
- Travel may be required
- Must be eligible for security clearance

**KNOWLEDGE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS**:

- A college diploma in business administration, commerce, economics or equivalent
- Previous experience as a Material Expeditor / Coordinator, or Purchasing Agent is an asset
- Previous work experience in the Nuclear generation industry (CANDU) is an asset

**SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS**:

- Knowledge of Purchase Orders, and Supplier communication
- Knowledge of multi-trade disciplines
