**Qualifications**
- 3 - 15+ years of accounting or Controller experience
- CMA/CPA designation preferred
- Experience in the construction field would be an asset

**A Controller’s Tasks**
- Reports to and works directly with the CFO.
- Leads the accounting team to ensure the over-all financial health of the company.
- Assists with setting accounting policies and procedures.
- Assists with reviewing and establishing financial procedures and controls.
- Oversees company financials including P&L, Balance Sheet, Payables, Receivables and Payroll.
- Reviews and understands monthly and quarterly reports, what direction company is moving, analyzing the difference - what brought the success, what could be improved.
- Manage, develop, and maintain financial records for a group of related companies.
- Utilize financial/accounting software such as QuickBooks and advanced excel reporting.
- Evaluates risk/benefit to large scale projects and purchases.
- Reviews project cost analysis reports.
- Creates budgets and tracks Cash Flow. Develop/implement systems for business forecasting for the company.
- Finds ways to improve processes. Build systems that work well and fix the ones that don’t.
- Suggest and develop ways to improve and grow the company - Identify potential modifications or strategies to improve company profitability
- Works alongside accountant on tax planning and/or audits.
- Consult with external auditors, lenders and legal counsel.

**Salary**: $65,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
