**ROLE TITLE**:QUALITY CONTROL LAB ANALYST (12 MONTH TERM)**

**DEPARTMENT**:QUALITY CONTROL**

**REPORTS TO**:SUPERVISOR, QUALITY CONTROL**

**HOURS**:EVENING SHIFT 15:30 - 24:00**

Reporting to the Quality Control Supervisor, you will be responsible for performing Quality Control testing of Pharmaceutical and Natural Health products.

This is entry level position for QC Lab analyst. All necessary training will be provided

**Responsibilities**:

- Participating in various testing on raw materials, in-process and finished products using established analytical procedures and compendia methods.
- Provide support on enviro monitoring and equipment cleaning verification in manufacturing area.
- Operating and calibrating various of lab instruments daily or as required.
- Preparing and standardizing various test and standard solutions
- Recognizing out-of-specification or out-of-trend results and assisting in the completion of lab investigation.
- Ensure compliance with good manufacturing practices (cGMP) and regulatory requirements in manufacturing of pharmaceutical products.
- Participate in the area of occupational health, safety, and wellness.

**Education and Experience**:

- Bachelor of Science degree with a Major in Chemistry or related studies and/or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Recently graduated students are welcome to apply.
- Basic knowledge of wet chemistry techniques (instrumental and manual)
- Some experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment or Food Industry as Lab technician/analyst will assist
- Working knowledge in Microsoft Office with a proficiency in Word and Excel.
- Knowledge of the US or European Pharmacopoeia will assist

- Good verbal and written communication skills.
