Under the responsibility of the Operations Manager, the Production Planner prepares and ensures the execution of the production plan by emphasizing efficiency in the use of material, labor and equipment in order to achieve the specified production objectives.

**To this effect, his or her responsibilities are**:

- Collect data in real time to oversee, monitor and adjust the production processes;
- Create planning tools and identify performance indicators for the purposes of strategic decision making;
- Provide the necessary information for cost estimates and budget preparation;
- Comply with production budgets, explain any shortfalls and participate in finding solutions;
- Confirm orders according to available time and resources and communicate with sales or customer service representatives in cases of stock disruption or shortfalls;
- Organize workflow, establish priorities in order to meet the client’s quality and delivery specifications and maintenance priorities and prepare the production plan accordingly;
- Assess needs and ensure the availability of human and material resources (equipment and raw materials) to guarantee production supply;
- Utilize and maximize the available production capacity, within a perspective of optimal management of costs and resources;
- Ensure coordination with the shipping department in order to ensure product delivery;
- Participate in continued improvement projects in order to improve productivity, quality and cost.

**JOB PROFILE**

**REQUIREMENTS**
- DCS in Operations Management or Industrial Engineering or any other relevant field.
- 4-6 years of job-related experience - creation of planning and monitoring tools.
- Excellent command of Microsoft Office (advanced Excel).
- Experience with an ERP system (Dynamics considered an asset).
- Have a comprehensive view of the production process - understand the impacts on the various stakeholders and know how to influence others.
- High level of English proficiency.
