**Position Summary**:
The Procurement Planner plans and coordinates the purchases raw materials supporting manufacturing and finished products and under the general supervision of the Director, Procurement Residential Lumber by performing the following duties. This position will coordinate with suppliers to ensure on time delivery, and monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages and maximize turns.

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Review inventory value and usage of sales reports.
- Manage planning and procurement master data.
- Monitors safety stock calculation.
- Lead-time, good receipts time calculation.
- Lot size calculation and procedure determination.
- Prepares coverage reports.
- Identify slow-movers and obsoletes items where directed.
- Manage purchasing master data.
- Planned delivery time, receiving tolerances.
- Purchasing Info Record and contracts.
- Convert purchase requisitions to PO’s.
- Update purchase orders quantities/dates daily and weekly.
- Confirm delivery dates with vendors on daily/weekly basis.
- Run MRP Live.
- Create manual STOs to rebalance inventories between sites in conjunction with the Production Planner/Scheduler.
- Communicate with Production Planner/Scheduler and vendors any impact on production driven by delivery dates.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education
- Grade 12 completed and equivalent experience preferred.
- Business Administration Degree or Supply Chain Management Degree an asset.

Experience
- Minimum 5 years of related business experience.

License
- Valid Driver’s License

Language
- Bilingual, spoken and written.

In addition to a knowledge of the French language, this role requires proficiency in English as a result of the duties to be performed.
