Mowi Canada West is recruiting for a fulltime, temporary (1-year contract) Logistics Coordinator. Reporting to the RMT Sales Director, this position is responsible for ensuring the efficient and timely movement of goods.

**Responsibilities**:

- Coordinate domestic and international shipments of fresh salmon, ensuring on-time delivery to customers.
- Effectively liaise with trucking companies, freight forwarders, and cold storage facilities to manage inbound and outbound logistics.
- Optimize shipping routes and carrier selection to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Monitor real-time shipment tracking and proactively resolve any delays or disruptions.
- Support airfreight inbound logistics, ensuring proper handling of perishable seafood.
- Oversee import/export documentation, health certificates, and customs clearance processes.
- Support traceability and quality assurance process
- Serve as a key liaison between processing plants, farms, transportation providers, and sales teams to ensure seamless logistics execution.
- Work closely with sales to ensure accurate order processing and on-time delivery.
- Maintain strong vendor relationships with logistics partners, suppliers, and storage facilities.
- Identify and implement efficiency improvements in supply chain operations.
- Analyze freight and storage costs, negotiating better rates where possible.
- Contribute to the development of SOPs and best practices for logistics operations.

Qualifications & Experience:

- 2-5 years in supply chain, import and export logistics and transportation (preferably in the seafood, food manufacturing, or perishable goods industry).
- Experience with cold chain logistics and international shipping is preferred.
- Strong proficiency in ERP and logistics software.
- Strong Excel and data analysis skills for tracking shipments, costs, and inventory.
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills to liaise with vendors and internal teams.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Able to work evenings/weekends as needed.

Annual Salary Range: $60,000-75,000
