The Administrator will facilitate the operation and marketing of the Nanaimo Minor Baseball. Reports to the NMBA President.
**Responsibilities**:
- Assist with planning and coordination of annual NMBA Annual General Meeting
- Attend monthly NMBA board meetings and provide monthly report of pertinent information and task updates.
- Update and manage NMBA database.
- Update and manage the NMBA website including improving UX, traffic and content.
- Manage social media strategy and implementation including creation of content for NMBA channels (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter).
- Maintain consistent brand messaging throughout all platforms and materials.
- Manage registration and fees for all seasons.
- Manage season schedules for all seasons.
- Compile registration data for analysis.
- Coordination of user groups and scheduling of batting cage.
- Manage all volunteer and employee evaluations.
- Work with NMBA vendors and media.
- Grow player registration and encourage retention.
- Increase the profile of NMBA within the community.
- Submit relevant paperwork and fees annually to BC Minor Baseball.
- Manage all NMBA contracts.
- Provide assistance with Jumpstart, KidSport or other financial assistance programs for families.
- Respond and manage all communications in timely fashion.
- Administrative and marketing duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Degree or diploma in business administration, marketing, communications, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in administrative and/or marketing role.
- Experience managing social media platforms in a professional setting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; as will as outstanding copywriting and proofreading skills.
- Strong organizational and project management skills as well as attention to detail.
- Must be self-starter and able to independently move projects forward, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to analyze problems and create a solution.
- Customer focused attitude.
- Strong understanding of the baseball community and culture is an asset.
- Team player with a positive attitude, with ability to work well under mínimal supervision.
- Willingness to work some evenings and weekends (i.e. board meetings, AGM etc).
- Computer skills: must be fluent in Microsoft Office. Experience with Adobe Photoshop and word press would be considered an asset.
- Annual Salary of $35,000 - $40,000 per year with the expectation of 20 hours worked per week averaged annually.

Part-time hours: 20 per week
**Salary**: $35,000.00-$40,000.00 per year
