**Fort Garry Industries has an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Assistant to join our team at our corporate office in Winnipeg.**
The HR Admin/Assistant provides administrative support within the Human Resources and Health and Safety department. Their primary duties include assisting with the day-to-day admin functions, hiring/exiting, process, record keeping, reporting, training certificates, filing and special projects.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Provide administrative support to HR and Health and Safety.
- Maintain training records and update systems as needed.
- Audit outstanding training and coordinate completion with managers and health and safety
- Proof and edit department documents for errors, consistency, and attention to detail.
- Support and may lead orientations, onboarding programs and update records with new hires.
- Generate HR reports and metrics pertinent to recruitment, turnover, and other HR-related data.
- Other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications & Experience**:
- Minimum of 1-2-year HR related experience preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in recruitment and talent acquisition, encompassing sourcing, screening, and interviewing preferred.
- Well rounded comprehension of HR principles, practices, Employment Standards, Human Rights and WCB WSIB regulations an asset
- Previous experience with applicant tracking software an asset.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Excellent phone mannerism and interpersonal skills
