Manager - Human Resources
Seven Oaks School Division, situated in Winnipeg's Northwest corner, is seeking a caring, knowledgeable, community and service-oriented individual who can see opportunities when there are challenges. The Division has an operating budget of $190 million and has 27 schools with a student population of approximately 12,500.
Reporting to the Superintendent, the Manager – Human Resources oversees Human Resource functions for support staff, including union and non-union employees. The role provides human resources functions including recruitment and selection, on-boarding/off-boarding, employee and labour relations, collective agreement administration, performance evaluations, attendance management, and human resources information system management
The successful candidate should hold a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; CPHR designation preferred. Progressively responsible relevant experience preferably within education or public sector required. The successful candidate will have demonstrated strengths and experience in staffing, recruiting, personnel management and union contract negotiations, human resource systems management (experience using CIMS would be an asset), and staff supervision. The successful candidate should have strong interpersonal and conceptional skills and will lead project improvement and standardization initiatives; change and project management skills are an asset. The current salary range is $95,230 to $121,609 with a comprehensive benefits plan.
