Canterbury Coffee is seeking a detail-oriented and organized **Accounts Payable**individual to join our dynamic finance team who can manage both manual and system based processes. In this role, you will be responsible for part of the full-cycle accounts payable process, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of our accounts payable transactions. This is a crucial role in maintaining the financial integrity of our organization and ensuring that our vendors are paid promptly.

**You are great at**:

- Review, code and input invoices for multiple entities and vendors.
- Processing a high-volume of accounts payable invoices and payments accurately and efficiently.
- Reconciling AP ledger accounts, corporate credit accounts and vendor accounts.
- Maintaining accurate records of all accounts payable transactions in the company's financial system.
- Responding to vendor inquiries and resolving any discrepancies or issues promptly.
- Collaborating with other departments to obtain necessary approvals and documentation for payment processing.
- Assisting with month-end and year-end closing processes related to accounts payable.
- Participating in process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency of the accounts payable function.
- Supporting the department in implementing policies and procedures and ensuring compliance.
- Back up for weekly payment runs.
- Maintain filing systems.
- Archive AP files at year end and create new AP files for the new fiscal year.

**You have**:

- A High school diploma or equivalent; a diploma or courses in finance, accounting, or related field an asset.
- Some experience in Accounts Payable or similar function.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Prior experience with vendor management and resolving payment issues - an asset.
