Kitchener, Canada Medical Office Family Practice Full time

Busy, friendly, and fast-paced family medical clinic currently seeking a medical receptionist/Medical Office assistant to join our team at a Kitchener medical facility.

We are an urgent care, family practice and specialist office.

Part-time position 22-30hrs per week with opportunities to lead into full time.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- 1-2 years experience within a medical facility
- Reception or administrative experience
- Excellent customer service skills
- Experience with Telus Practice Solutions EMR preferred

**Work Qualifications and experience required**:

- A minimum of 1 year experience as a Medical Receptionist/MOA in a family medicine office or similar medical setting
- Medical Receptionist/MOA diploma/certificate is necessary or Reception or administrative experience
- PS Suite EMR experience is an asset

**Responsibilities and Duties**
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills and the ability to meet work requirements
- Ability to handle stressful situations, high volume and fast paced.
- Reliable, self-motivated
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- High level of integrity, confidentially and accountability
- Greet patients in a prompt, courteous, and helpful manner. Direct them to the appropriate room
- Answer, screen, and manage calls on multi-line phone system
- Use the EMR to document triage, chart notes, messages and other patient encounters
- Obtaining patient vitals, basic history taking, exam room prep & clean-up
- Assist physicians in any necessary procedures
- Communicate with hospitals, specialist offices, pharmacies, labs/imaging, insurance/legal companies, etc and work with other office staff and physicians for optimal patient care
- Perform other various duties as assigned

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 22-30 per week

**Salary**: $17.00-$19.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
