**GENERAL DESCRIPTION**
The Project Manager is responsible for ensuring the integrity of the process around prospective and awarded project activities is maintained through all phases of the projects bid and awarded. The Project Manager is the internal and external representative regarding all the company’s projects. The Project Manager will assume some external business development activities primarily as a result of their external customer contacts.
**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- Leading and coordinating the company’s prospective and awarded project activities. This responsibility includes proposals, design, construction, customer contact, quality control, profitability, customer satisfaction and other functions associated with a project build.
- Identifies resources needed and assigns individual responsibilities to Project Coordinators and Project Assistants.
- Reviews high-level deliverables across projects.
- Manages scope and minimizes/mitigates exposure and risk across projects.
- Determines appropriate revenue recognition, ensures accurate invoicing, and monitors receivables for all projects under the PMO.
- Integrates financial data for multiple projects.
- Seeks ways to maximize revenue.
- Identifies partnership opportunities and capitalizes on quotes and sales opportunities across projects
- Sets and leads the team in the achieving revenue goals
- Works in conjunction with the sales team to follow up on and close sales leads.
- Grows long-term relationships with clients and capitalizes on equity and partnership opportunities.
- Is the key participant in team and client meetings.
- Manages day-to-day client interaction and expectations for multiple projects.
- Anticipates clients’ needs and proposes alternative solutions.
**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Continually seeks and capitalizes upon opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships.
- Assists estimation team in coordinating the preparation of bid documents for outside contractors to bid and construct, relaying information to bidders such as the needs of the client, the trades to be involved and the estimated start date.
- Manages the development of project teams by ensuring that project tasks are in line with each team member’s talents and abilities.
- Recognizes strengths and weaknesses in the process and individuals, and provides feedback for improvement, and provides major input into the performance evaluation of the Projects Managers, and project team members
- Reports project progress information to management.
- Effectively communicates relevant project/practice information to peers in other departments.
- Reinforces commitment to project goals and priority
- Coordinates the resolution of concerns of team regarding conflicting priorities
- Maintains the integrity of the projects through meetings and effective communication with Project Managers
- Raises visibility through involvement in local industry organizations.
- Tactfully communicates sensitive information
- Assists in the evaluation and redesign of projects when necessary.
- Possesses a knowledge base of each client, business, organization and objectives.
- Participates in all programs relating to performance evaluations and career development planning.
- Handles difficult personnel situations directly, using appropriate discretion, HR advice and respect for the individual.
- Challenges others to develop as leaders while clarifying roles and responsibilities.
- Conducts annual evaluations within the PMO.
- Assesses training needs and selects training tools for team members in conjunction with HR.
- Recognizes areas for internal improvement and develops plans for implementation.
- Lends expertise to internal project teams and task forces when necessary.
- Reviews the status reports of team members across projects and addresses issues as appropriate.
- Complies with and enforces standard policies and procedures.
- Attend monthly Safety Meetings
- Participate in inspections when given the chance
- Report all incidents at the time of the incident
