Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in preparing accurate project cost estimates, supporting project planning, and ensuring competitive pricing. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse construction projects, utilizing advanced estimating tools and techniques to contribute to the successful execution of projects from inception to completion.

Duties

  • Prepare detailed construction estimates by analyzing project plans, specifications, and other bid documents.
  • Utilize estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to develop accurate cost projections.
  • Collaborate with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to gather pricing information and negotiate terms.
  • Need to compare the lumber prices and estimate accordingly
  • Develop comprehensive bid proposals that include labor, materials, equipment, and overhead costs.
  • Review project scope changes and update estimates accordingly to reflect current project requirements.
  • Assist in the development of project schedules and resource planning to ensure timely completion.
  • Support project management teams during procurement phases by providing cost analysis and risk assessments.
  • Maintain organized records of all estimates, bids, and related documentation for future reference.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in construction estimating with a strong understanding of construction processes and materials.
  • Proficiency with Bluebeam, HeavyBid, and other estimating or project management software.
  • Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing and terms with vendors and subcontractors.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple estimates simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of construction safety standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating with internal teams and external partners.
  • Attention to detail with high accuracy in cost calculations and documentation.
  • A background in construction or related field is preferred; relevant certifications are a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
