**Description**:
The Continuing Education department of Champlain College Saint-Lambert requires the services of an HOURLY INSTRUCTOR to teach the course Leading Clinical Activities (351-306-LA).

In this course, students learn the steps involved in leading clinical activities. This begins with developing an assessment that focuses on client needs. It prepares students to effectively lead clinical activities by selecting, adapting, and designing activities that are relevant and well-structured. Students will focus on planning each component with precision, ensuring the activity meets the needs of participants. The course also covers adapting communication, determining techniques to promote empowerment, and improving facilitation skills. Ethical behavior is emphasized, guiding students to lead with professionalism and integrity. Through a combination of group activities, theory and practice, students will develop the confidence and expertise to lead clinical activities effectively.

**Required Qualifications**:
Must have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related discipline and 2 years teaching experience. Teaching experience in Special Education Techniques or a related program such as therapeutic recreation, is an asset. A sound knowledge of the different intervention approaches used in Special education techniques (client centered, cognitive behavioural, etc.) and demonstrated work experience designing and leading clinical activities is required. This course is taught in English; proficiency in English is required.

This course will be delivered in person. Exceptionally, the instructor may be asked to deliver a class online.
