The Continuing Education department of Champlain College Saint-Lambert requires the services of an HOURLY INSTRUCTOR for the course SUPPORT FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH ASD AND THEIR FAMILIES (351-H33-VL).

This course will enable students to assess the support of an individual's living environment, whether at home, in an institution or in a substitute setting, and in collaboration with resource persons. Students will develop autonomy and judgment in relation to different problem situations, while respecting professional limitations.

Required Qualifications :

Must have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a discipline related to Special Care Counselling and 2 years teaching experience.

Must have a minimum of 3 years experience working with an autistic clientele.

Teaching experience within a similar program is an asset.

This course is taught in English; proficiency in English is required.

Comments :

Approximately one (1) Saturday class per month will be given in-person and the remaining classes will be delivered online/at distance.

The specific in-person dates will be determined in collaboration with the hired instructor.

The selected candidate must have the ability to deliver a course online.

6:00 pm -9:30 pm

(EXCEPT: April 7)

Thursdays

6:00 pm -9:30 pm

(March 26; April 2, 16 & 30; May 7 ONLY)

Saturdays

9 am - 4:00 pm

(March 21; April 11 & 25 ONLY)

The schedule may change based on the needs of the program.

This course is taught in English. The selected incumbent will be required to work in English.
