As Advisor, Stakeholder Engagement and Communications - Major Projects (Contract) with Trans Mountain, you’ll play a key role in public and community engagement and communication for major projects along the pipeline corridor. Based in our **Burnaby, Kamloops or Edmonton** office, this position reports to the Team Lead, External Relations.

You will be responsible for executing engagement activities, developing communication materials, and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including local governments, community groups, and regulatory agencies.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Understands effective stakeholder engagement tools which meet regulatory requirements and community expectations in order to develop and implement stakeholder engagement and communication initiatives for major projects.
- Point of contact for key stakeholders, including community leaders along the pipeline.
- Represents Trans Mountain at events and builds/maintains stakeholder relationships to support Trans Mountain business objectives.
- Organize and deliver / participate in engagement activities such as meetings, open houses, and events; both in person and virtual.
- Develop and deliver materials to support engagement activities, including digital and print content, presentations, etc.
- Monitor and respond to stakeholder inquiries and issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain accurate records of engagement activities and stakeholder interactions and contribute to development of reports.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment of objectives and messaging.
- Supports Trans Mountain’s Public Information Office in a crisis.

**Qualifications and Professional Experience**
- University degree in Communications, Public Affairs, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of experience in stakeholder engagement, communications, or public affairs.
- Strong understanding of community relations and regulatory environments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with event planning and stakeholder outreach.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in digital communication platforms and tools.

**Other Requirements and Information**
- Attendance at events and support required outside regular business hours.
- Travel to work sites may be required.
- If based in Burnaby, travel may range from 10-25% of the time.
