**Role Responsibilities**:
The Ministry of Jobs, Economy, Trade and Immigration has an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as an Immigration Partnerships Advisor

Reporting to the Manager, the Immigration Partnerships Advisor is responsible for providing specialized knowledge, analysis and information, as well as stakeholder engagement and partnership development, to support the Province's economic immigration strategies and initiatives, as well as Alberta's federal-provincial-territorial relations.

**In your role as an Immigration Partnerships Advisor, you will**:

- Support the development of international and federal-provincial-territorial networks and partnerships that support Alberta's immigration, labour and economic goals.
- Liaise with various key internal and external stakeholders to plan and execute strategic international and federal-provincial-territorial meetings, and forums.
- Assist in external stakeholder engagements to highlight Alberta's strengths.
- Planning and managing projects to meet delivery timelines.
- Provide feedback on issues and activities to aim towards the accomplishment of identified key branch results and strategies.
- Draft responses to Albertans and other stakeholders. Ensure Alberta's interests are reflected appropriately.
- Draft responses to action requests related to the unit's work.

**Qualifications**:
Minimum Requirements:

- University graduation degree in a related field plus 4 years progressively responsible related experience; or equivalent as described below.

Equivalency:

- Directly related education or experience considered on the basis of:

- 1 year of education for 1 year of experience
- 1 year of experience for 1 year of education

The following knowledge or experiences are considered as assets:

- Knowledge of key concepts in Canadian intergovernmental relations, as well as international labour mobility.
Knowledge of economic immigration policy objectives and programs and ability to align work activities with those objectives.
- Knowledge of policy and strategy development, and research and analytic techniques.
Understanding of current international, economic, political and social issues.
- Experience with developing briefing notes, conducting research, preparing reports, presenting and conducting analysis.
- Experience in stakeholder engagements.
- Foreign Language(s) skills and superior English verbal and written skills.
- Experience in developing and retaining cross-divisional, ministerial, and external stakeholder relationships.
- Demonstrated skills in the area of project management.
- Organization and prioritization skills to balance multiple ongoing projects at one time and ability to meet tight timelines and a strong attention to detail.
