**Human Resources Clerk / Payroll Support**

Providing office support to various off site managers and employees this position encompasses a wide variety of human resources related tasks. 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, office located within city limits. Occasional travel to Twin city crossroads office necessary. Drivers license needed for near by travel.

**PRIMARY LOCATION**: Thunder Bay / Northwestern Ontario

**Your challenges**:
As Human Resources Manager, you will act as a key change agent providing support and direction for Human Resources & unionized employees by performing the following duties:

- Provide support to Operations Management & Supervisory group on Labour Relations and Health & Safety related issues. Serve as recorder for JOHSC.
- Assist to coordinate the recruitment and selection process for RFP Woodlands operations and Remar driver related jobs. Job postings organized.
- Assist managers to be responsible for management of all manpower and scheduling issues for the RFP Woodlands operations.
- Provide support and information to operations for office work systems and Labor contract management.
- Provide support and conduct research in order to assist in grievance resolution.
- Experience with employee group benefit administration including management of STD and WSIB and related absences.
- Communicate with and provide support to payroll. Excel skills required.
- Assist with the management of employee safety training, development programs, safety committees, Health and Safety related policies, procedure development and certification programs, and provide support to managers and employees on all disability management and return to work programs.

**Your profile**:

- 3 to 5 years relevant experience years’ experience in Human Resources;
- Proficient office related skills, current HRPAO or able to apply.

**Your assets and skills**
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a team, to communicate (oral and written) with all levels of the organization and to adapt quickly to change;
- Solid analytical skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on experience and judgment;
- Understanding of federal employment laws;
- Strong sourcing, recruiting and staffing capabilities;
- Project and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities;
- Demonstrated strong facilitation and issue resolution skills;
- Knowledge of U.S.W Union Collective Agreement would be considered an asset;
- Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Word Press for website management;
- Class G driver’s license in good standing;
