**SUMMARY**:
**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Recruitment Support:
- Assist in posting job vacancies on various platforms and job boards.
- Facilitate pre-employment reference checks and criminal record checks.
Onboarding and Offboarding:
- Assist with the onboarding process for new employees, including sending paperwork, orientation materials, and training modules.
- Ensure all necessary onboarding documents are completed and filed.
- Support the offboarding process, sending exit interviews, and processing paperwork.
Records Management:
- Maintain HRIS and payroll records and ensure all necessary documentation is entered into the systems appropriately.
- Maintain and update employee files and records accurately and confidentially.
- Ensure compliance with data protection and confidentiality policies.
- Generate reports and HR-related metrics as required.
Benefits Administration:
- Assist with benefits enrollment and changes for employees.
- Maintain benefits records and communicate with benefit providers as needed.
- Address employee inquiries regarding benefits programs.
Policy and Compliance:
- Assist in comprehensive policy and procedure review, as a member of the Policy and Procedure Committee.
- Compile resource and research for policy review.
- Disseminate updated policies and procedures to employees and track receipt of employee acknowledgements.
- Support employee compliance with HR regulations and company policies.
- Assist in audits by providing related policy documents and employee file documentation.
Employee Relations:
- Assist in handling employee inquiries and requests.
- Escalate employee concerns to Director of Human Resources when necessary.
- Promote employee engagement in events and initiatives
Payroll Administration:
- Verify and input employee date into payroll system.
- Collaborate with Finance to ensure payroll-related transactions are processed correctly.
Overall
- Practice core values to promote a positive work culture and enhance all employee experiences throughout the organization.
- Promote and model a culture of health, safety and wellness.
- Support HR projects and initiatives as directed by Human Resources Manager and CEO.
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint), and Adobe Reader Pro
- Able to provide a satisfactory police record check and provide proof of Covid-19 vaccination.
Education and Experience
- Degree or Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- CHRP designation is an asset.
- Proven experience in administrative support, preferably in an HR or related setting.
- Solid understanding of Human Resources functions and processes.
- Experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS)
- Experience in unionized and non-unionized workplaces is an asset.
**ACCOUNTABILITY**:
- The Human Resources Coordinator is under the day-to-day Supervision of the Director of Human Resources with further accountability for overall performance to the Chief Executive Officer.
**JOB TYPE AND SHEDULE**:
- This is a full-time, permanent position with a 35 hour work week.

Pay: $65,000.00-$73,500.00 per year
